Dexter Lumis and Indi Hartwell Reunite After Wyatt Sicks’ Release » TWNP-Wrestling News

Fans of InDex rejoiced yesterday when Dexter Lumis posted a teaser video in the wake of his WWE release. With his days as a Wyatt Sicks member firmly behind him, the former WWE Tag Team Champion changed his name back to Samuel Shaw on social media. Along with the name change, Dexter Lumis also underwent a physical transformation, and he didn’t do it alone. Dexter Lumis and Indi Hartwell reunited to make a big change for the stalker.

Indi Hartwell Cuts Dexter Lumis’ Hair

Samuel Shaw is not wasting any time getting back into the independent wrestling scene. The journeyman is reverting to his old persona of the stalker, Samuel Shaw.

That means he’s shedding the dreadlocks from his recent run, and the former InDex member received a hand from his old friend. Samuel Shaw took his dreads out of a bun as Indi Hartwell walked up behind him.

Indi told Shaw, assuredly:

“It’s time.”

One by one, the TNA Knockout clipped his dreads. Then, she took a buzzer to his wily beard. Suddenly, “Nightcall” by Kavinsky started playing, as the trimming continued.

Finally, Dexter Lumis finished shaving his own beard. The cold eyes of Samuel Shaw looked at the screen as the video ended with 7.24.26. This is the day his non-compete is up.

Is Samuel Shaw TNA-Bound?

It’s heavily believed that the former Dexter Lumis will show up in TNA once he becomes a free agent. After all, his former love interest is a Knockout. Plus, Samuel Shaw has a long history in TNA.

Samuel Shaw worked in TNA from 2010 to 2015. During this time, Samuel Shaw developed the stalker character that would become the precipice for Dexter Lumis. He would become fascinated with Christy Hemme, stalking her from the rafters and making drawings of the former WWE Diva Search winner.

These same storyline beats were used when Dexter Lumis and Indi Hartwell were paired up in NXT. The couple teamed up for almost two years, creating many memorable moments for the black-and-gold brand. Their onscreen pairing culminated in a wedding, one of the few wrestling TV weddings to not end in tragedy.

Dexter Lumis and Indi Hartwell History

In kayfabe, Indi Hartwell and Dexter Lumis are technically still married. The couple never even had a falling out! Unfortunately for InDex fans, Dexter Lumis was released in early 2002. However, he’d make a surprise return on the main roster in the summer of 2022.

True to character, Lumis started stalking The Miz. Following his call-up, Dexter made a random appearance in NXT where he reunited with Indi. The sociopath kissed his bride and carried her out of the scene.

He’d stay relegated to the lower card of the main roster with sporadic appearances on the developmental brand. In fact, Dexter Lumis randomly helped Indi Hartwell win the NXT Women’s Title at Stand and Deliver 2023.

Shortly after, Indi was drafted to Raw, forcing her to relinquish the NXT Women’s Championship. However, she’d never really reunite with Dexter Lumis. Instead, she rekindled her NXT relationships with Candice LaRae and Johnny Gargano on the main roster.

With The Way seemingly getting back together, InDex fans were hoping the wedded couple would reunite onscreen. Sadly, Indi Hartwell was released by WWE in November 2024. Meanwhile, Dexter Lumis reinvented himself as a member of the Wyatt Sicks, even winning the Tag Team Titles with Joe Gacy.

Will Samuel Shaw and Indi Hartwell Team Up in TNA?

While The Wyatts Sicks struggled to get airtime, Indi Hartwell became a standout on the independent scene. She also became the inaugural Women’s Champion for ACW and is the current Renegades of Wrestling Women’s Champion in Australia.

In addition, Indi Hartwell has become a top star in the TNA Knockouts Division. Although she has come up short in her quest to win the gold, even losing to NXT’s Kelani Jordan, Indi Hartwell remains a TNA regular. Perhaps we will get a Dexter Lumis and Indi Hartwell reunion after 7.24.26!
