Dmitry Bivol defends his unified light heavyweight titles against Michael Eifert in Russia on Saturday.
Bivol (24-1, 12 KOs) battles Eifert (13-1, 5 KOs) in a homecoming clash at the UMMC Arena in Ekaterinburg.
Bivol puts his IBF and WBA titles on the line, although his WBO title is not at stake.
The 35-year-old, pound-for-pound-star won the undisputed championship in a rematch against Artur Beterbiev last February, four months after suffering a first professional defeat to his countryman.
Bivol opted to vacate the WBC crown in pursuit of a third outing with Beterbiev, which failed to materialise, with David Benavidez upgraded to full champion.
Eifert is the mandatory challenger to his IBF belt, but hasn’t fought in almost two years.
The German has won seven straight since a sole professional loss, including a unanimous decision win over faded, former world champion, Jean Pascal over three years ago.
