Doc Rivers’ angry reaction to Giannis Antetokounmpo trade rumors, ‘I can’t make…’

The NBA rumor mill is currently buzzing with a potential Giannis Antetokounmpo trade.

Giannis Antetokounmpo has spent his entire career with the Milwaukee Bucks and even helped the franchise win a championship in 2021.

However, since that phenomenal run, the Bucks have failed to reach the same heights again. Even during the 2025-26 NBA season, the Bucks are struggling to win games.

While experts are already discussing the next destination for Antetokounmpo, Bucks head coach Doc Rivers recently put an end to the trade rumors around the 2x NBA MVP.

Rivers spoke about the rumors after the Bucks’ recent win over the Detroit Pistons.

“Here we go again. There have been no conversations. I want to make it clear for, I would say, one more time, but for the 50th time, it clearly is not getting to one network.

“Giannis has never asked to be traded ever. I can’t make that more clear,” a furious Rivers stated.

While coach Rivers denied the trade rumors surrounding Antetokounmpo, it still doesn’t change the fact that the Bucks are playing terribly right now.

After all, they are currently the 10th seed in the Eastern Conference with an underwhelming 10-13 record.

Shams Charania says Giannis Antetokounmpo is discussing his future with the Milwaukee Bucks

On one hand, Rivers claimed the Antetokounmpo trade rumors were false, but NBA expert Shams Charania recently reported the opposite thing.

“Giannis Antetokounmpo and his agent Alex Saratsis have started conversations with the Milwaukee Bucks about the two-time NBA MVP’s future – and discussing whether his best fit is staying or elsewhere,” Charania tweeted.
