Drew McIntyre Unloads On Jacob Fatu With Brutal Threat Ahead Of WrestleMania 42 Match

Drew McIntyre didn’t hold anything back after Jacob Fatu’s April 17 WWE SmackDown promo, firing back with a heated message that turned personal fast ahead of their unsanctioned match at WrestleMania 42.

The tension between the two continued to build after Fatu arrived on SmackDown in a police car and cut a promo about leaving his criminal past behind while warning McIntyre about what’s coming at WrestleMania. McIntyre chose not to respond in the arena, but he made sure to answer later with a fiery video posted on social media. McIntyre started by explaining why he stayed away from the building, making it clear he didn’t want to waste the chaos before WrestleMania.

“I better start reacting so people know I actually react in real time. I don’t need a script. I don’t wanna be in the building reacting in real time. I want to be comfortable, lying down. I’ve traveled across the world, I’ve had a lot of appearances, I’ve been in the gym.”

He made it clear that if he had shown up in person, things likely would have exploded early.

“And if I’m in the building, Jacob and I are gonna tear each other apart. And I did that last week. It’s his opportunity to speak. I wanna save that for WrestleMania.”

McIntyre then shifted his tone, saying he had no respect for Fatu while pointing out where he was headed instead.

“Honestly, I don’t respect you Jacob. I respect the Hall of Famers. I’m about to get up, I’m about to get dressed, and I’m about to go to the Hall of Fame. See my peers, see the legends into the Hall of Fame.”

From there, the message got sharper as McIntyre addressed Fatu’s comments about his past struggles and championship losses.

“No-one’s gonna save me. Who’s been saving Drew McIntyre exactly? Just to clarify? I’ve been getting screwed time and time and time again. Literally by everybody, right to the top. And then you joined the party to make sure you screwed me out of my WWE Championship, screwed me out of the main event of WrestleMania.”

McIntyre didn’t stop there, continuing to tear into Fatu while setting the tone for what he expects in their match.

“You haven’t changed. You’ve stole everything from me and there’s only one thing left to say. Let’s get on the same page. We’re gonna beat each other to death.”

He also pointed to the high-profile placement of their match on WrestleMania 42 Night One, saying the spotlight will be impossible to ignore.

“We’re in the first hour – there’s a lot of eyeballs on that hour. Godzilla, Kong, personal issues, two giant guys beating each other to death, no rules, unsanctioned. We don’t need a story, but we’ve got a story.”

Then came the most personal shot of the entire rant, as McIntyre warned Fatu about what he believes will happen after their match.

“Most of all, I feel bad for your kids, because after I’m done with you and your career goes down the toilet, you’re gonna end up back in that police car. You’re gonna end up back in that jail cell.”

McIntyre and Fatu are set to collide in an unsanctioned match during the first hour of WrestleMania 42 Night One on Saturday, a slot that will air on ESPN2 and is expected to bring immediate chaos to the show. With both men trading personal threats and promises of violence, their match is shaping up to be one of the most intense fights on the entire WrestleMania card.
