Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Says He’s Open to Exploring AI Opportunities

Actor and WWE legend Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson says he’s open to embracing the change brought by artificial intelligence.

Speaking to Esquire‘s Ryan D’Agostino, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson opened up about the possibilities and strengths of artificial intelligence. He noted that he’s always been an advocate for embracing change and said he’s open to exploring AI opportunities.

“I’ve always been an advocate for embracing big change—after taking a hard look at it,” he says. “We can either stick our heads in the sand and be afraid, or we can say, Okay, we’re here. Let’s see. Let’s explore.”

The Rock revealed how AI helped him with a training program

The Rock admitted he’s new to AI and that he tried ChatGPT for the first time a few weeks ago. He was off his fitness routine after he finished filming Jumanji in Hawaii, so he downloaded ChatGPT one night and asked in detail what he should do, hoping to get an intense workout plan. After he told it what he had eaten that day, how much he slept the night before, and his fitness goals, it came up with a training program within three seconds.

“And Ryan, within three seconds it comes back with a training program that’s lights-out, pencils-down spectacular. Like it came from ten of the greatest coaches I’ve ever worked with,” The Rock says. “Very specific. I wound up having an extraordinary f*****g workout. And then it’s telling me, ‘Make sure you’re taxing this muscle group halfway through—and make sure you’re getting enough carbs, and let’s add a little salt to your diet tonight because you’ve had a long day.”

The Rock is a member of the TKO board of directors, and recently, the company’s COO and President, Mark Shapiro, confirmed WWE’s use of AI in creative and other operations.
