Eddie Hearn DENIES Dana White is promoting Fury vs Joshua

Eddie Hearn has refuted Dana White’s claims that he’ll be promoting Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua.

Hearn confirmed last month that Joshua has signed to fight long-time rival Fury later this year.

The much-anticipated and long-awaited British grudge match is likely to be staged in November on streaming giant Netflix, which aired Fury’s win over Arslanbek Makhmudov in April.

White, the head of Zuffa Boxing, claimed that he’ll be promoting the long-awaited British mega fight.

“I’m doing the Tyson Fury vs AJ fight,” White said during a Kick stream with Nina Drama on Thursday.

Hearn, Joshua’s career-long promoter, has denied that his American rival will be in charge.

“Such a clout chaser,” the Matchroom Chairman wrote on his Instagram story.

“Not a chance and contractually impossible.

“Let me know when you find you balls.”

Hearn and White have been going back-and-forth for months ever since the UFC boss entered the boxing landscape with Zuffa, with the pair even talking up a potential fight against each other.

Their rivalry intensified when Conor Benn left Matchroom to join Zuffa in a lucrative one-fight deal worth $15m.

Benn signed a new long-term deal with White after overcoming Regis Prograis last month and Hearn has hinted at taking legal action over the situation.

The Matchroom boss took a further shot at White, highlighting that he claimed he would be promoting Fury vs Makhmudov, with the event instead being promoted by Spencer Brown’s Goldstar Promotions.

“Oh yeah they said they were promoting this one too [Fury vs Makhmudov].

“What happened?”

Joshua will return for the first time since a sixth round knockout of Jake Paul in December when he faces unbeaten Albanian, Kristian Prenga on July 25 in Riyadh.

10 days after stopping Paul, ‘AJ’ escaped with minor injuries from a fatal car crash in Nigeria, which killed two of his close friends.

Fury is also expected to fight again before finally meeting Joshua, with his victory over Makhmudov his first since coming out of retirement.
