EHL: Emphatic Arminen Complete EHL Line-up – EHL

SV Arminen delivered a dominant performance to secure the Austrian national title with a 10–0 final victory over Post SV, completing the line-up for next year’s Euro Hockey League.

It means they will play in the EHL for the ninth time having most recently played in the KO16 in London in 2024.

The tone was set early, as sharp passing led to Wessel Idema opening the scoring in just the fifth minute. From there, Arminen never looked back.

Maximilian Kelner doubled the lead almost immediately with a clinical finish from a tight angle and sustained pressure and compact play paid off late in the first quarter when Idema added his second to make it 3–0.

Post SV struggled to cope with Arminen’s high press even during a temporary numerical advantage. A foul on Andor Losonci, meanwhile, led to a penalty stroke in the 23rd minute, coolly converted by Florian Hackl.

Her scored before Patrick Schmidt and Florian Steyrer extended the lead to 7–0 by half-time and the title was all but assured.

The second half followed a similar pattern. Kelner struck twice more from penalty corners to complete his hat-trick as did Hackl to reach double figures.
