Real Club de Campo Villa de Madrid took the IATI League 2025-26 ahead of Real Club de Polo in the Final Four, fittingly taking the title in a shoot-out.
For so long this season, they have been inseparable in the league with the regular season only going Campo’s way on the last day of the campaign.

This time, Diego Palomero was the hero for the home side as the title was won in sudden death as the goalkeeper outmanoeuvred Marc Miralles, and Iñaki Abajo capitalised on match point to score the winning goal, sending the crowd into raptures.
In normal time, Edu Aguilar’s team took the lead in the 11th from the first corner of the match, Quique Zorita beating Marcos Giralt with a low, driven shot that nestled inside the right post.
Both sides had their chances after that as the minutes ticked by and the tension mounted. Late on, Ramon Sala substituted the Polo goalkeeper out with an outfield player to gain an extra man.
The move paid off for the Barcelona side as, with a minute and a half left, a solo run by Anton Borràs ended with the ball reaching Nico Laplaza who, this time, beat Rafa Revilla, sending the game to a shoot-out.
This was locked at 3-3 after the regulation set of five efforts before Campo made their final move.
They qualify for the EHL Men’s FINAL12 as a result with Polo going to ROUND1 in October.
