Elayna Black Threatens To Crash TNA Knockouts Title Scene At Slammiversary

Elayna Black is not walking into TNA Slammiversary just to smile, wave, and enjoy the show. She made it very clear during a conversation with Jimmy V3 that the TNA Knockouts Championship has been on her mind from the second she arrived in the company.

Slammiversary goes down Sunday, June 28 in Boston, and Black said she is excited to be part of her first one after growing up as a TNA fan. That said, the nostalgia didn’t last long. Black quickly turned the conversation toward the Knockouts Title and made it clear that her goal has not changed since TNA’s AMC premiere back on January 15.

“Hey, I’m super excited for Slammiversary. You know, I grew up a huge TNA fan, so I’m happy to be a part of my first one. Look, all I’m going to say is my eyes have been on that TNA Knockouts title since I walked in the doors on the AMC premiere, January 15th. And that goal has not changed six months later.

So, with that being said, right now, I don’t know what Slam looks like for me. I know I’m going to be there. I’m going to be causing chaos. I’m going to be getting into some things. Maybe I’ll be watching the TNA Knockouts title match. Maybe I’ll insert myself into the TNA Knockouts title match.

I don’t know what that has in store yet. However, I will say I understand that Jordynne Grace side had some issues, you know, she has some personal beef with Layla Hirsch, maybe some underlying jealousy. I don’t know what the deal is, but I understand that she has some business to take care of. So, you know what? More power to her. Go handle your business.”

That is not exactly the kind of answer that makes the rest of the division feel safe. Black basically admitted she could be lurking around the title match, waiting for the right opening to make herself impossible to ignore.

She also made it clear that she does not care who walks out of Slammiversary with the gold. Whether it is Layla Hirsch, Xia Brookside, or someone else entirely, Black said her next move is already locked in. Her real target is Chicago, where TNA Lockdown is set to take place in August.

“I get it. But guess what? As soon as Slam’s over, I don’t care who comes out with that title. It could be Layla Hirsch. It could be Zaya, it could be another random woman that they decide to throw in. I don’t care who it is. After Slam, I’m coming for that TNA Knockouts title, and my goal is to walk in to Chicago in August at Lockdown with that strap around my waist.

So, I’m manifesting it. I’m putting it out into the open. Let’s see if it happens, but I don’t doubt that it will.”

That Chicago part matters. Black is from the area, and walking into Lockdown as Knockouts Champion would give her a massive hometown moment. She is not hiding that plan, either. She said it straight up and dared the division to deal with it.

This also puts more heat on the Knockouts Title picture after Slammiversary. Black may not have confirmed exactly what she is doing in Boston, but she gave everyone enough of a warning. If chaos breaks out around the title match, nobody should act shocked if she is standing right in the middle of it.

Do you think Elayna Black should be the next TNA Knockouts Champion, or does someone else deserve that spot first? Sound off in the comments and let us know what you think.
