Nations FC are through to the finals of this season’s MTN FA Cup after overcoming semi-final opponent Aduana FC on Friday afternoon.
The two Ghana Premier League clubs locked horns in a highly anticipated showdown at the Swedru Sports Stadium today. With so much on the line, both teams set up strong right from the start in a bid to secure victory and reach the final.
In what turned out to be a close contest, Nations FC appeared more dangerous in attack and found a breakthrough in the first 10 minutes.
Explosive and pacey winger Emmanuel Annor put the team from Abrankese in the lead after just seven minutes of the first half.
Despite the efforts of Aduana FC, the team struggled to create good goal-scoring opportunities, especially in the second half, and had to succumb to a painful defeat at the end of the contest.
