Eric André got stripped down to his underwear at the Little Brother premiere, and somehow the funniest part was what happened after.
Netflix posted footage from the premiere, showing André stepping out of a car in a full suit. Everything looked normal for about two seconds. Then someone shut the car door on his clothes, the car pulled away, and André’s outfit got yanked clean off him in front of the crowd. Netflix Is A Joke posted the clip with a simple caption.
“Eric André’s suit got stuck at the Little Brother premiere 👀”
That left André standing outside the event in nothing but his underwear, socks, and shoes. Then someone tried to save the situation by handing him a shirt.
Bad move. André put it on, looked down, and realized it was a Bloodline shirt with Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu on it. That was all he needed to see. He immediately got annoyed and ripped it right back off.
That made the whole thing even better, because André was just destroyed by Jacob Fatu on WWE RAW a few days earlier. During the June 15 episode, Fatu dragged André out of the crowd, threw him into the ring, and crushed him with two diving headbutts while Roman laughed it up.
So yeah, André would rather walk around half-naked at his own movie premiere than wear Bloodline merch. Fair enough. The whole stunt tied back to Little Brother, the new Netflix comedy starring André and John Cena, which drops June 26. WWE already helped push the movie by letting Fatu wreck André on RAW, and Netflix kept the joke alive by turning the premiere into another public disaster for him.
The clip ended with André posing next to Cena outside the premiere, still in his underwear like this was totally normal. Cena looked sharp. André looked like he had just lost a fight with a valet stand.
In the end, Eric André got his suit ripped off in public, got handed the one shirt he absolutely did not want, and still said no thanks. That is the kind of stupid, perfect movie promo you cannot fake. Well, actually, you probably can — but it was still funny as hell.
