Eric Young is officially getting another shot at the TNA World Championship after surviving a chaotic battle royal on the May 14th TNA iMPACT!.
The show opened with a huge battle royal to determine the new number one contender for the TNA World Title, and the match quickly turned into complete chaos with surprise entrants, weapons, and eliminations happening all over the place.
One of the biggest surprises came when former Gangstas member Mustafa Saed appeared carrying a trash can full of weapons. The crowd erupted at first, but immediately booed after he was quickly eliminated moments later.
Several names had strong moments during the match, including Home Town Man eliminating Brian Myers, while Elijah tossed out both Bear Bronson and Eddie Edwards.
In the end, it all came down to Eric Young and Elijah battling on the apron. After a back-and-forth exchange of chops and strikes, Young managed to knock Elijah off the apron following a low blow to secure the victory.
With the win, Eric Young is now officially the new number one contender for the TNA World Championship. At this point, Young has positioned himself right back in the title picture as TNA continues building toward its next major event.
