- V1.60 ETS 2 adds reworked Volvo FH Series 6 truck
- Improved materials and lighting system also implemented
Euro Truck Simulator 2’s V1.60 update is available to download now, and it includes a few improvements for SCS Software’s Euro-centric driving game.
We’ve covered the bulk of the new update in our accompanying V1.60 Open Beta article, but the headline features are the game’s improved materials and lighting systems, which help provide more realistic vehicle interiors and exteriors.
The new materials system is being rolled out initially on the DAF NGD and MAN TG3 TGX trucks, but will be added to more models at a later date
The Volvo FH Series 6 truck also receives some attention, as additional aerodynamic parts have been made available. New roof deflectors are now also attainable for the Sleeper Cab, Globetrotter, and Globetrotter XL cab variants of the Swedish machine, with a new black A-Pillar trim available across the full Series 6 range.
The job details widget has been upgraded to make it easier to view job information. This can be accessed via the Widget Options menu by pressing F6.
The game’s fatigue system is now split into Rest State and Mandatory Break values. Driving for too long depletes the Rest State bar, while driving for 10 hours straight requires a Mandatory Break of nine hours.
Finally, there are now five different radio stations to choose from in-game: Rust FM, Escape, PUMP IT!, Pop Gear and Roadio. Escape offers the only streamer-friendly soundscape for now, however.
