EVIL Breaks Silence After Unexpected WWE NXT Debut

EVIL Breaks Silence After Unexpected WWE NXT Debut

EVIL has officially spoken following his shocking WWE debut, and he didn’t waste any time making a statement.

After appearing out of nowhere on the April 28 episode of NXT and confronting Tony D’Angelo, EVIL took to Twitter on April 29, 2026 to break his silence for the first time since arriving in WWE.

“I’ve Arrived. #WWENXT”

The post comes just one night after his lights-out debut, where he emerged in the ring during a blackout segment and immediately stepped to the NXT Champion. The moment was tied directly into the mystery box storyline WWE had been teasing, with EVIL handing over an item marked with the same symbol connected to the ongoing angle.

That debut already had plenty of attention around it, especially after reports from BodySlam.net indicated that EVIL personally requested to start his WWE run in NXT rather than being placed there.

“EVIL is starting in NXT at his own request.”

Now, with his first statement out, EVIL is making it clear he sees this as the beginning of something major rather than a slow introduction. Instead of easing into the roster, he’s already positioned himself opposite the top champion and inserted himself into a major storyline right away. With momentum already behind him and his intentions now public, EVIL’s arrival doesn’t look like a one-off moment; it looks like the start of a serious push inside NXT.

Do you think EVIL’s immediate move toward the NXT title scene is the right call, or should WWE have built him up more gradually before putting him in that spot? Sound off in the comments.
