Michael Carrick will hope to see his Manchester United side continue their strong run of form when they host rivals Liverpool on Sunday.

The Red Devils have won nine of their 13 matches since Carrick was appointed as caretaker head coach back in January, following the dismissal of Ruben Amorim.

Victory at Old Trafford on Sunday would move United a step closer to Champions League qualification, with Carrick’s side currently occupying third place in the Premier League table.

Ahead of that game, though, it is emerging that Man United are eyeing a shock move to sign a former Chelsea star.

As per TEAMtalk, AC Milan winger Christian Pulisic is firmly on the radar of Manchester United ahead of this summer’s transfer window.

The US international joined Milan from Chelsea in 2023, having played more than 140 times for the Blues during his spell in west London.

Since moving to Italy, the American has scored 42 goals and provided 26 assists in 131 games for Milan across all competitions, establishing himself as a key player for the Serie A giants.

It is claimed that Pulisic’s performances haven’t gone unnoticed, though, with Manchester United identifying the attacker as a potential target as they look to sign a versatile attacker.

With Joshua Zirkzee set to depart Old Trafford this summer, those steering United’s recruitment are working to sign an attacker capable of playing in multiple roles.

While United are said to have been offered the chance to sign Rafael Leao, the report suggests that the Manchester outfit view Pulisic, 27, as a more suitable target.

Pulisic is capable of playing across the front three, and has also been deployed as a false nine this season.

The American winger is contracted to Milan until the end of the 2026/27 season, but the report claims that there are currently no talks taking place over an extension, despite initial discussions have occurred last year.
