Japanese legend Jushin ‘Thunder’ Liger has been announced for WrestleCon: Destination Minneapolis during SummerSlam Weekend.
Liger will appear on Friday, July 31, and Saturday, August 1, at the Hilton Minneapolis, located at 1001 S Marquette Ave in Minneapolis, Minnesota, courtesy of Highspots.
The 61-year-old retired from full-time ring competition after his final match at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 14 in January 2020. He briefly returned last year for a four-minute bout with Joey Janela at WrestleCade.
Major League Wrestling (MLW) has awarded Austin Aries and Trevor Lee “Best Bout Bonuses” for their match on the recent return episode of MLW Fusion.
Their match was highlighted as one of the most talked-about moments of the two-hour premiere on YouTube and VEEPS.
MLW CEO Court Bauer presented the bonuses as a special reward for exceptional performances that raise the standard in the ring.
