The FIA and the F1 media have been in talks after Max Verstappen removed a journalist from his press conference at the Japanese Grand Prix. Along with that, Lewis Hamilton and Kim Kardashian were spotted in public once again, and Mercedes released an update about Verstappen’s GT teammate.
The FIA is understood to have told Red Bull Racing that Formula 1 journalists are far from happy with how the incident between Max Verstappen and a British journalist was handled, GPblog understands.
After Max Verstappen kicked out a journalist from The Guardian at the Japanese Grand Prix, the matter was discussed within the F1 Media Advisory Council, which includes several leading Formula 1 reporters.
Together with the journalist concerned, there was then a meeting with the FIA, which in turn was said to have conveyed concerns about what happened to Red Bull Racing.

Mercedes has provided GPblog with an update on Jules Gounon, the Verstappen Racing driver who fell ill after his stint last Saturday in the GT World Challenge Europe series.
The French-Andorran driver turned out to have contracted food poisoning in the lead-up to the race and drove while feeling extremely ill. After his stint, the Verstappen Racing driver even had to be treated for hours in the circuit’s medical centre.
This Monday, GPblog heard from Mercedes about how Gounon is doing now. The manufacturer reports that “he is doing well” and is already on his way to Austria. A test for the new DTM season will take place there on Tuesday. Gounon is expected to be back in action at the Red Bull Ring, also in a Mercedes.
After multiple public appearances, Lewis Hamilton and Kim Kardashian continue to fuel dating rumours after being spotted at the music festival Coachella.
After completing a two-day Pirelli tyre test in Italy last week, the seven-time world champion was once again spotted with Kardashian in the United States over the weekend, adding the world-famous music festival to their public appearances after doing so at the Super Bowl in February.
The rumoured couple has been spotted multiple times since the beginning of the year, but their relationship has yet to be confirmed. During pre-season testing, GPblog asked the British driver about the rumours. “I don’t comment on those sorts of things, private life,” he said.
