Former training partner predicts Conor McGregor will KO Max Holloway at UFC 329

Former training partner predicts Conor McGregor will KO Max Holloway at UFC 329
Dillon
Danis is making some bold predictions about Conor
McGregor.

McGregor (22-6) is set to return to action in a welterweight
matchup against Max
Holloway (27-9) in the main event at UFC 329
on July 11 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. McGregor has opened as a
+300 underdog, with fans and pundits expecting Holloway to dominate
the former double champ.

However, McGregor’s training partner, Danis, believes otherwise.
Danis believes McGregor’s dedication is getting underestimated
before his return. McGregor’s fight against Holloway marks his
return to action after five years. However, Danis believes ring
rust is a mindset that McGregor can definitely beat. Danis predicts
that “Notorious” will knock Holloway out within three rounds. “El
Jefe” even predicts that McGregor will fight Islam
Makhachev after beating Holloway.

“He’s always been a dedicated guy… Him not going to the White House
card… He is living in the gym,” Danis told MMA Fighting. “He is
bringing in tough training partners. He is beyond focused right
now… It’s a different kind of dedication that he has right now. And
I think that he’s going to clean Max. At that weight, the way he’s
body is looking, the way he is training, the way that he is putting
in the hours… I don’t believe in ring rust. I have been out for a
long time and I come back. I believe ring rust is a mindset. And if
anybody is gonna beat a mindset, it’s Conor. I think people are
really, really underestimating him. I don’t want to give too much
away… But he is gonna hurt Max really badly. I think he’s gonna
knock out Max and then it’s gonna be him and Islam. I don’t think
it makes it past three rounds, maybe two. I think [Conor] cleans
his jaw.”

Danis was one of McGregor’s primary training partners leading up to
the Irishman’s legendary fight against Khabib
Nurmagomedov in 2018. Danis was also involved in the infamous
brawl at
UFC 229. While Danis was out of competition for a long time, he
has recently returned to wrestling competitions, mostly under RAF.
Danis is scheduled to headline RAF 10 against Khamzat
Chimaev in St. Louis.
