An 86-year-old Fenway Park employee is at the center of a social media campaign to raise enough money to help him retire.
Ken Avery, a ticket taker for Red Sox games at Fenway Park, was featured Friday in an Instagram post by Samuel Weidenhofer, an influencer with nearly 3 million followers. The post was part of a series designed to spotlight older workers across the country who could use financial help.
