The Victoria Day Weekend Spectacular once again delivered one of the biggest and most electric events of the year at Toronto Motorsports Park, kicking off the season in dramatic fashion. The high-energy weekend brought together racers and fans for a packed lineup of action.

Headlining the event was the John Scotti NHRA National Open, featuring Canadian National Championship competition across seven NHRA classes: Stock/Super Stock, Top Dragster/Sportsman, Super Comp, Super Gas, Super Street, Sportsman Motorcycle, and JR Dragster – all competing throughout the weekend.

Fan favourite Rick Ream thrilled the crowd with the return of his legendary 1950 Bullet Nose Studebaker Firetruck, charging down the track on two wheels with sirens, sparks, flashing lights, and fireworks in a crowd-pleasing performance.

Adding even more intensity, Neale Armstrong fired up his 300-mph Jet Dragster, powered by a real F-5 fighter jet engine, delivering a thunderous blast of flames and raw speed that shook the facility.

The weekend also showcased a vintage drag racing program curated by John Reid and Aaron Reid, featuring classic A/Gas and AA/Gas hot rods. Fans were treated to a four-car Nostalgia Funny Car match race that brought true old-school drag racing excitement back to life.
