Ghana international Brandon Thomas-Asante will play in the English Premier League next season after helping Coventry City to book promotion from the Championship.
Coventry City secured promotion to the Premier League on Saturday for the first time since 2001, following a successful 2025/26 Championship campaign.
Managed by Frank Lampard, the club secured their return to the top flight to mark a significant turnaround following the previous season’s play-off heartache.
The club clinched their Premier League spot following results on April 11, 2026, after a goalless draw with Sheffield Wednesday at home and results elsewhere favoring their promotion.
On the matchday, Ghana international Brandon Thomas-Asante started the Week 42 fixture and played 67 minutes before making way for Romain Esse.
The 27-year-old Black Stars winger has been a sensation for Coventry this season, playing an important role in their attack en route to claiming their promotion.
The forward in 28 appearances for Frank Lampard’s side has scored 12 goals and provided four assists as well.
He could add some more in the last few matches of the season.
