The Hockey Development Summit 2026, delivered by the UK Ice Hockey Foundation in partnership with Ice Hockey UK, is pleased to announce its first guest speaker.
Dr Stephen Norris is a globally-recognised performance consultant and sport scientist whose work spans elite sport, business and military organisations.
His expertise centres on building sustainable systems and cultures that drive performance and excellence, with current projects including the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), the Coaching Association of Canada (CAC), the Professional Golfers’ Association of America (PGA of America), and LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®, a facilitation methodology used in leadership and organisational development.
Recognised as a leading authority on child and youth athletic development, Dr Norris is one of five founding members of the Canadian Sport for Life movement (https://sportforlife.ca) – a landmark framework for long-term athlete development and physical literacy that has influenced sport policy across Canada and beyond.
