The Yankees had two champions in attendance as good luck charms in Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart.
Then they put on their own championship show, literally hitting the White Sox again 10-5. With several injuries to some of their star players — Aaron Judge to name a few — the veterans and young call-ups took matters into their own hands. Spencer Jones has been trying to make the most of his call-up and when he does he goes long. With that, he has his own exclusive Topps Now card with a brief synopsis of his exploits:
New York Yankees fans saw outfielder Spencer Jones kickstart an eventual 12-2 rout over the Chicago White Sox. The California native hammered a solo shot in the second inning, hitting the Yankee Stadium seats for the first time in his career. Jones’ homer, along with Gerrit Cole’s strong start, propelled his squad to a comfortable win in their series opener.
Until then, see you at the park.
