Harbhajan Singh blasts on Ajit Agarkar due to non selection of this Veteran cricketer

Harbhajan Singh, a former spin legend, criticized the Ajit Agarkar- headed selection panel, for not considering Jalaj Saxena who is the present Ranji trophy record holder and had played for 17 years in the domestic circuit. Jalaj Saxena however is the only player in the history of the Ranji Trophy to have taken 400 wickets and scored more than 6000 runs. Nevertheless, this was not the case when India A squad for the tour matches against Australia A was announced, as he did not make the team again. Harbhajan did not shy away from sharing his opinion concerning the tweet and posed a question as to whether the domestic tournaments are becoming obsolete since players are selected from the IPL.

“Respect that, even more so for India A. Where is the point of playing Ranji anymore? People are getting selected from IPL,” Harbhajan replied.

Earlier, after the home Test series loss to New Zealand, 3-0, former cricketer Harbhajan Singh revealed that this was a very disappointing loss for the side captained by Rohit Sharma.

In the Third Test vs New Zealand, which was the third and final match in New Zealand’s tour of India, a perfect spin-bowling execution was carried out by Ajaz Patel and Glenn Phillips on the Indian batsman, virtually spinning back in time as NZ beat India by 25 runs to become the first-ever team to complete a clean sweep without a win in all Internationals three match or more series in India.

India began the series unfavorably after the home team suffered an eight-wicket loss to the New Zealand team in Bengaluru.

In the Pune Test, the Indian team which was led by Rohit Sharma sought to level the three-match series. However, the home team was beaten by New Zealand by 113 runs.

While talking to ANI, Harbhajan expressed how everyone was expecting India to win the three-match Test series by 3-0 before the series had even begun. New Zealand, he also complimented, was able to overpower the hosts team led by Tom Latham as the conditions favored them.

“This whole series has been very disappointing for each one of us. When New Zealand came here, I remember the expectation was of a 3-0 outcome with India winning the series. What I can say is that they beat us pretty well and made the most of those conditions…,” Harbhajan told ANI sources.
