Has Brady Tkachuk played his last game in an Ottawa Senators jersey?
Sportsnet: Frank Seravalli, when asked about the future of Brady Tkachuk and the Ottawa Senators. Has Tkachuk played his last game in the Senators jersey?
Faizal Khamisa: What’s this offseason like for Ottawa, and will there be questions surrounding the future of one Brady Tkachuk?”
Seravalli: “Oh I think there’s, those questions are already mounting. And I was wondering if that tinge of emotion that we saw from Brady Tkachuk in his post-game interview was, maybe any sort of recognition that this could be the beginning of the end.
Look, I think it’s probably way too early to, to engage in that conversation this close to the end of the season, but there’s something that seemed a little bit off from Brady Tkachuk over the last number of weeks. He wasn’t, I don’t want to say as engaged. I’d never his question, question his commitment level, but his body language, his frustration, all those things seemed a little bit off. Not to mention the lack of productivity that we saw from him in this series.

So look, I think the sends have to ask some serious questions about what they can do to be better. This is not a team that made a lot of changes from year over year. And I think Brady could chuck probably one of the biggest questions that he’s going to have to ask himself, and not just for this year, but moving forward, is, do I have an opportunity to win that Stanley Cup like my brother did while I’m playing here with the Ottawa Senators?”
NHLRumors.com Note: The 26-year-old Brady Tkachuk has two years left on his contract at an $8.2 million salary cap hit. He has a full no-movement clause. There have been many speculating that he may be looking to get out of Canada and back to the USA, especially after Team USA won the Gold at the Winter Olympics.
