‘He’s Made So Many Strides’ — LeBron James Makes Feelings Clear on Bronny James Stepping Up for Lakers in Playoffs

LeBron James shared his pride after his son, Bronny, played an important role in the Los Angeles Lakers’ victory over the Houston Rockets in the first round of the NBA Playoffs.

Bronny James is slowly starting to come into his own with the Lakers, and he played a crucial role in Games 3 and 4 of the first round of the playoffs as the LA Lakers booked their place in the conference semifinals.

The NBA Player Guessing Game allows you to guess the NBA player based on clues about their team, division, height, jersey number, points, and experience.

LeBron James Shares Pride Over Bronny’s Progress in Sophomore Year With The Lakers

On the latest episode of “Mind the Game” with Steve Nash, LeBron spoke about the progress his son has made in his sophomore year with the Lakers after a challenging rookie year. The 41-year-old also touched on the run they enjoyed together in Game 3, where Bronny scored 5 points in 9 minutes on 2-of-2 shooting.

“He’s made so many strides in his second year, and it resulted in him taking the moment. Without AR [Austin Reaves], without Luka [Dončić], he was next man up,” LeBron said.

“He was one of the guys who had to step up, and to share that moment in Game 3, I believe we scored 10 straight points between the two of us. We had that mini run between the two of us, and that was something I’ll never ever forget.”

Bronny played a key role in the second quarter of the Lakers’ 112-108 win over Houston in Game 3. He started the run with a three-pointer before cutting to the rim and getting on the end of his father’s lob for a reverse alley-oop layup.

This also helped LeBron and Bronny become the first father-son duo to connect on an assist in the NBA postseason.

The Game 3 win gave the Lakers a commanding 3-0 lead in the first-round series, and they wrapped up the series in Game 6 with another road win.

Bronny stepped up with 10 crucial points in the Lakers’ first-round victory over the Houston Rockets. LeBron averaged 23.2 points over the course of the series.
