HighString Snap Green is a shaped co-poly that knows what it wants to be: a string that’s spin first, and leans toward control, and holds tension well.. This poly does not have “soft-feel, elastic pocketing.” Snap plays firmer, more intentionally, and more structured, but it does so with a level of consistency and stability that sets it apart from many other aggressive-shaped strings in this category. Snap makes it worth a try if you like to swing fast, shape the ball hard, and trust the stringbed to stay put over several sessions.

Playtest Impressions
Head Speed MP
HighString Snap feels solid, controlled, and very spin-oriented right from the first hit. The hexagonal shape bites the ball hard, and once you speed up through contact, it’s easy to generate spin. This string rewards commitment. Half-swings won’t unlock its full potential, but when you go after the ball, the response is fantastic
Control at high speeds is what stands out the most. Even though it has a high spin and solid power, Snap keeps the launch window surprisingly small. Balls always dip, and depth control stays strong even when you’re trading heavy, high-RPM rally balls. This makes it especially useful for baseline exchanges where consistency and margin are more important than outright pop.
The feel is more rigid than stretchy. Elasticity is about average, so you don’t get too much pocketing or a trampoline effect but the trade off is stability and consistency. This is especially impressive because many shaped polys become unpredictable when tension drops. This is where Snap’s great tension holding really shines. The stringbed stays true to its shape over time instead of getting loose and launching.
At the net, the feel is good but not soft. The volleys are clean and controlled, but this is not a touch string. You need to have good hands to get the most out of it. For a shaped poly, comfort is fine, but players who are sensitive to their arms should stay in the lower half of the recommended tension range or think about the lower gauge.

- Competitive hitters who value tension stability over instant softness
- Those who like aggressive shaped polys but hate erratic launch late

- Touch-first or feel-oriented players
- Anyone chasing maximum pocketing or plush comfort
- Players who rely on slow swings and string-assisted power

HighString Snap Green sits comfortably among these competitors:
- Solinco Confidential 1.25 – Similar control focus, Snap feels slightly firmer and more stable over time
Luxilon Savage Blue 1.27 – Comparable bite, Snap holds tension better and feels more predictable - Genesis Hexonic Power 1.27 – More power, less control; Snap is tighter and more disciplined
- StringLab Hydrogen Revo Hex 1.26 – Similar spin access, Snap offers better long-session consistency
Summary – HighString Snap Green strings
HighString Snap Green is a string that really delivers. It’s heavy on spin, firm, and all about control, but what makes it stand out is how well it keeps its consistency over time. The spin is top-notch, the control is reliable, and the tension stability is really impressive for a shaped poly.
If you like to hit hard and want to feel more confident on big swings, Snap Green is a good choice for you. It is not for touch or feel and isn’t the softest on sensitive arms so players may want to consider lower gauge if if trying this out.
