Holly Holm disagrees with scorecards after losing to Stephanie Han again: “I feel like I won that fight”

Holly Holm did not get the decision in her rematch with Stephanie Han, and she believes she should’ve had her hand raised.

Holm challenged Han for the WBA lightweight title this past Saturday in El Paso. The bout headlined a card promoted by Most Valuable Promotions. Holm and Han went all 10 rounds, and while one judge scored the fight a draw, the other two judges gave Han the nod with 96-94 scores.

In her post-fight interview, Holm expressed disappointment in the decision (via MMAFighting).

“Honestly, I feel like I won that fight,” Holm said. “There’s always things, even in a win, that I want to do better, always. We always want perfection, but I really feel I won the fight, and that’s not any disrespect to Han at all. I have a lot of respect for her, it has nothing to do with that, I just feel that that fight was mine.”

Many fans on social media weren’t happy with the decision, and believe that Holm was robbed of a victory. It’s a tough break for “The Preacher’s Daughter,” who may have seen her hopes of regaining a world title in boxing slip away.

Prior to her rematch with Han, Holm mulled over the possibility of having an MMA showdown with Ronda Rousey. “Rowdy” recently had a successful comeback fight against Gina Carano at MVP MMA 1. There is history between Holm and Rousey, as the two met at UFC 193 back in 2015. Holm scored a head kick knockout win to hand Rousey the first loss of her pro MMA career.

Holm said she doubts Rousey would ever agree to a rematch. Rousey responded during an appearance on “Up and Adams,” claiming she’d run through Holm in a rematch, but she considers herself retired again.
