Let’s get one thing straight before going on any further. As the Miis creator, you can force your Miis to interact with one another. This can be done simply by dragging your selected Mii and dropping it next to the Mii you wish them to build a relationship with. Now this is where the autonomy kicks in. There is no guarantee that your Miis will develop a romantic relationship with one another. There’s a chance they won’t even become friends. It’s all up to fate at this point. There are ways to increase your chances while playing matchmaker.

In my experience, when Miis labeled as partners interact, they generally gravitate toward each other, even when autonomous, and can develop a budding romance over time. Once your Miis fall in love, you’ll see a pink thought bubble appear over at least one of their heads, and you’ll know that Cupid did their job. Encourage them to pursue their love interest; now it’s just a matter of playing the waiting game. Remember, love can be one-sided, so there’s no guarantee.
