Hulk Hogan’s Death Ruled Natural After Police Find No Evidence Of Criminal Wrongdoing

Hulk Hogan’s death has officially been ruled natural after a long police review.

The Clearwater Police Department in Florida said Friday that investigators found “no evidence” of criminal wrongdoing in the WWE legend’s passing. Hogan, whose real name was Terry Bollea, died at his Clearwater home on July 24, 2025.

Police spokesperson Rob Shaw said the case is now being classified as “an attended natural death” after investigators spent nearly 11 months speaking with witnesses and reviewing recordings tied to the case.

“We want to thank the family of Mr. Bollea — Sky, Nick and Brooke — and their attorney, Kevin Hayslett, for their cooperation.”

Shaw also said the family gave investigators access to personal information during an extremely difficult time. He added that police would not have been able to get much of that information without the family’s help.

“Their willingness to allow our investigators access to very personal information, at a time when they were grieving and struggling, was extremely helpful.”

“We would not have had the legal justification to obtain much of the information without their cooperation.”

A 70-page case master report released Friday also gave more details about Hogan’s final days. Investigators wrote that several people close to Hogan said he had been in rough shape after multiple recent surgeries.

On the day he died, Hogan was with his wife, Sky, and two healthcare workers when they noticed he had stopped breathing while sitting in his recliner. Sky called 911 while one of the medical professionals performed CPR.

Hogan was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Authorities said at the time that foul play was not suspected, and this latest update now closes the door on that question.

Hogan remains one of the most famous names in wrestling history, and his death sparked a major reaction across the industry. Now, after months of review, police say his passing was natural and not the result of criminal activity.
