I feel like boycotting after getting my Newcastle United Season Ticket waiting list position

I am getting in touch to air my frustrations about the Newcastle United Season Ticket waiting list and the ballot application system.

Ahead of the ballot the club informed me that I qualified to be in the top tier, pot one.

On Monday I was emailed the result of the much anticipated ballot, my position on the Newcastle United Season Ticket waiting list is 3,190

Whilst I could have been more unlucky, with some people in pot one getting a place as low as 9,000 on the waiting list, I am still incredibly annoyed.

My reasoning behind this can be highlighted with an example of another supporter in the ballot who was allocated a waiting list position number in the 230s. This person successful in eight ballots across the last two years, having applied for every ballot. The crux to my frustration however, is that this fan only attended those eight games in total, these past two seasons

I applied for every ballot and was only successful four times these last two years, twice per season. However, I then spent hour upon hour refreshing on the resale page of the Newcastle United ticketing site, waiting in anticipation for season ticket holders to return their tickets. Countless times my reaction speed was not that of a supporter years my junior, however, through sheer tenacity and resilience I succeeded on a regular basis and went to 95% of the games.

In addition to my never give up attitude in persevering to get tickets, in attending those games I spent well in excess of £1,000 of my hard-earned money with the club, attending Premier League, cup and Champions League games.

My question to the club is this.

How does the above example, the other Newcastle United fan, be in the same conversation or pot as someone like myself? They should nearer in a million years of Sundays have been awarded pot one.

I feel like boycotting and spending my money on grass roots football games and watching Newcastle United on TV, such is my anger at the situation. As dramatic as it sounds, it feels like a relationship where the other party have betrayed me and lost my respect and love.
