India’s U17 men’s national team head coach, Ishfaq Ahmed, made his highly-anticipated announcement on Sunday by revealing the names of the talented 23 players who will represent the nation in the upcoming AFC U17 Asian Cup 2025 Qualifiers.
The exciting tournament is scheduled to take place in Thailand from October 23 to 27, providing these promising young players with an invaluable opportunity to showcase their skills on the international stage and compete against top teams from around the continent.
The Blue Colts are placed in Group D
In the qualification phase of the AFC U17 Asian Cup 2025, The Blue Colts find themselves positioned in Group D, where they are scheduled to face off against Brunei Darussalam on October 23, Turkmenistan on October 25, and the host nation Thailand on October 27.
This group stage battle is part of a larger tournament structure comprising ten groups. The ultimate prize for each group is the chance to secure a place alongside hosts Saudi Arabia at the main event.
Only the teams that finish at the top of their respective groups and the next five highest-ranked second-placed teams from all groups combined will have the exciting privilege of participating in the esteemed AFC U17 Asian Cup tournament.
