Sanju Samson will aim to continue his domination, but India will be in need of more stability in top order when they face South Africa in the 2nd T20I in Durban.
Sanju’s century played a major role in India’s 61-run victory in the series opener, but the lack of runs from other important batters is a concern for India. Indian team will have to address this issue to make sure that the burden is not just on the wicketkeeper-batter and is spread throughout the whole lineup.
Apart from the whole lineup, the sustained failure of Abhishek Sharma would be the most worrying point for the team management. since he has been struggling to make runs in his recent outings, with the scores of 0m 10, 14, 16, 15, 4, and 7.
Though the team management is not likely to make changes in the Playing XI, Sharma’s continued failure will be disappointing since India will look for second-opening option after Yashasvi Jaiswal followed Rohit Sharma’s retirement from the format.
