The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (“ITA”) Competitive Department is presently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Manager of Division II & Division III Men’s & Women’s Tennis
The Manager of Division II & Division III Men’s & Women’s Tennis will:
- Report to the ITA COO
- Work in a cross-functional capacity with the ITA Administrative Department, ITA Membership Department, ITA Coach Education Department and the ITA Communications, Marketing & Advanced Media Department on day-to-day organizational operations and the execution of the ITA’s strategic vision
Responsibilities Include:
- MEMBERSHIP
- Provide phone and email support to ITA Division II and Division III member programs on all competitive matters concerning ITA Division II and Division III tennis
- CHAMPIONSHIPS
- Oversee the administration of the following ITA championships:
- ITA Division II and Division III Regionals
- ITA Division II Individual Championships
- ITA Cup – Division III
- ITA Division II Men’s & Women’s National Team Indoor Championships
- ITA Division III Men’s & Women’s National Team Indoor Championships
- ITA Division II & Division III Sanctioned Events
- Provide support at various ITA Championships across all divisions as required
- Oversee the administration of the following ITA championships:
- SUMMER SERIES/SUMMER NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS/ITA TOUR
- Support tournament directors throughout the planning and execution of all ITA Tour events
- Assist with the set up, creation, and administration of ITA Tour events within the tournament management system
- Support player-member inquiries related to the ITA Summer Series.
- Assist in completing administrative tasks and preparations leading up to the ITA Summer Series
- Assist in gathering and evaluating data, metrics, and benchmarks related to the ITA Summer Series
- RESULTS ENTRY & RANKINGS
- Oversee results entry collection for Division II and Division III men’s and women’s tournament and dual match results
- Administer and oversee the ITA Division II and Division III Team and Individual Rankings Program
- RULES
- Assist with rules enforcement concerning ITA Division II and Division III member programs
- AWARDS
- Administer and oversee the ITA Division II and Division III Competitive Awards program
- GOVERNANCE
- Oversee the administration of coach governance at the ITA Division II and Division III Operating Committee levels.
- GOVERNING BODIES
- Serve as the primary liaison between the ITA and the NCAA and conference offices on college tennis related matters.
- OTHER DUTIES as assigned by the ITA CEO or the ITA COO
Qualifications and Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of two years of sport management experience preferred
- Strong understanding of and experience in college tennis preferred
- Strong tennis interest preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Applications
- Familiarity with Google Applications
- Tournament administrative experience and work experience in using Tournament Management Software preferred
- Applicant should be a detail-oriented self-starter, possess the ability to multi-task and dedication to complete assigned projects, be comfortable working in time-sensitive, high-pressure situations, and possess good interpersonal skills.
Additional Information:
- Salary range of $55,000 – $60,000
- Position will work remotely
- Position will report to the ITA COO
- Position will require moderate travel throughout the year for championships and events. Most travel concentrated in the months of October, November and February.
- Position is full time and employee will be eligible for medical, dental, retirement, and life insurance benefits.
