Jake Slaughter NFL Draft Profile

The 2026 NFL Draft will be a great event for teams to start building for their future. Here is the Jake Slaughter NFL Draft Profile.

Jake Slaughter Background

Position: Interior Offensive Line

School:
Florida

Size:
6-foot-4 7/8,  303 pounds

Class: Senior

2025 stats: Second Team All-American, First Team All-SEC

Slaughter was a three-star recruit in the class of 2021 who stayed in-state to play for the Gators. He redshirted in his first season and was a reserve for the first two years. In 2023, he started eight games and helped the Gators win five games. For the 2024 season, Slaughter was a First Team All-American leading the Gators to an eight win season. In 2025, he was a Second Team All-American and played well, but Florida took a step backwards.

Following the season, Slaughter has been preparing for the 2026 NFL Draft. He is currently projected to be a mid-round pick.

Jake Slaughter Strengths

Slaughter is a solid athlete for the NFL interior. While he won’t be elite in any category, he has solid quickness at the snap. He can get good momentum going to the second level. There are times when he can lunge in space, but he can get to the second level and make some blocks asked of him. He has average agility as well.

His experience shows really well in his play as he has good awareness and football IQ. Slaughter is able to notice things pre-snap that other centers can’t. He sees where pressure is coming from and is able to communicate and pass it off well. Slaughter has a great mind for the game.

He is a great fit for a zone run blocking team. Slaughter doesn’t always have the strength to move defenders out of the way, but in a zone scheme, he is able to execute and help clear holes for running backs. He can get to the second level decently.

Jake Slaughter Weaknesses

Slaughter has an average at best size for the NFL interior. He is almost 6-foot-5, but just 303 pounds, which can limit him. Slaughter can add strength to his frame to help him sustain blocks against pro athletes on the inside. His arms measured in at under 32.5 inches, which could give him some issues against longer interior players.

He won’t move many players as a run blocker. Slaughter can execute his assignment, but won’t pick up much ground, which limits him as a gap blocker. Teams who run more power concepts may have lower grades on Slaughter.

While he is able to mirror pass rushers, he can struggle with power. Slaughter can fail to anchor against some of the bigger and more powerful bull rushers. Adding strength will help, but he’ll also have to work on dropping an anchor sooner too.

Projected Draft Range: Third Round Pick-Fifth Round Pick

Draft Grade: Fourth Round Pick
