JBL is not staying neutral when it comes to Ludwig Kaiser’s Florida battery case.
During the latest episode of Something to Wrestle With Bruce Prichard, JBL unloaded on the alleged victim involved in Kaiser’s arrest and made it crystal clear that he is backing the WWE star “100%.”
Kaiser was arrested earlier this week in Orange County, Florida, on a battery charge tied to an alleged altercation inside his Orlando apartment building. According to the arrest affidavit previously obtained by Ringside News, the alleged victim accused Kaiser of punching him outside an elevator after confronting Kaiser and his girlfriend over what was described as “uncontrollably intimate” behavior inside the elevator. JBL made it clear he does not fully buy either version of the story but said he strongly doubts Kaiser randomly attacked somebody for no reason.
“I’m on Kaiser’s side on this. The guy had no business in saying anything to him, I get it, but to escalate this, Kaiser’s not the guy who ends up punching somebody.”
JBL then directly targeted the alleged victim. Even while repeatedly saying he does not know the full truth, JBL still doubled down on supporting Kaiser.
“This is who I don’t know who this douchebag was that called the cops, but screw this guy. I am 100% behind Kaiser on this. Okay, I want unequivocally. I’m backing this guy, he’s been a guy I think is a good guy, he’s not a hot head to me.”
JBL even suggested that if Kaiser actually did punch the alleged victim, the other man may have deserved it.
“If something happened here, the guy I think deserved it.”
Things escalated even further as JBL ripped apart the version included in the arrest affidavit and mocked the alleged victim for contacting police after the confrontation.
“This whole thing’s bullshit. I think that story’s bullsh*t. This guy then gets beat up and goes to the police and tells them the police that some guy beat him up in the apartment complex. What a douchebag. A guy got punched so freaking what, and then the guy runs because he’s a little punk ass bitch, and goes to the police and turns this guy in.”
JBL also defended Kaiser’s personality and argued that the WWE star does not come across like someone who randomly starts fights.
“Kaiser does not seem like a hot-headed guy. Kaiser does not seem like a guy who starts fights. I just hope the whole thing blows over. I hope it doesn’t affect anything Kaiser does. I don’t think it will.”
JBL’s support is especially notable because he currently serves as the lead commentator for AAA, where Kaiser is involved in the El Grande Americano storyline. Kaiser remains scheduled to face Chad Gable in a Mask vs. Mask match at AAA Noche de los Grandes on May 30.
As Ringside News previously reported, Kaiser turned himself in earlier this week after learning an active arrest warrant had been issued against him in Orange County, Florida. He later posted $1,000 bond and entered a written plea of not guilty.
Neither WWE nor AAA has publicly commented on JBL’s remarks or Kaiser’s arrest as of this writing.
