Jey Uso Locks Down Spot In King of the Ring Final During 6/19 WWE SmackDown

WWE SmackDown took over the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri, tonight as the company continued to build momentum toward Night of Champions. With the June 27 premium live event in Riyadh quickly approaching, several major stories took another step forward on a busy night for the blue brand.

The 2026 King of the Ring tournament has brought fans a few surprises already. One finalist has already been decided. Oba Femi defeated Dominik Mysterio in the semifinals and now heads to Riyadh with a chance to become King of the Ring.

Tonight on SmackDown, Jey Uso and Je’Von Evans battle in the other semifinal. Although Evans has been a highlight of the WWE main roster since his call-up from NXT, the fact is that he hasn’t been able to secure a massive win despite putting on great matches. Sadly, SmackDown wasn’t his night as we approach Night of Champions.

Jey Uso made his entrance first through the crowd, and fans were on his side in a big way. That being said, Je’Von Evans received a lot of love from fans. The Young OG will simply have to wait for another opportunity, because in the end, Jey Uso pulled down the victory to cement his place in the King of the Ring finals.

Main Event Jey Uso’s storyline with the Bloodline has taken a lot of time to evolve into what we see today. The former World Heavyweight Champion is no stranger to the spotlight, and he will get another one in Saudi Arabia.

The winner advances to Night of Champions on June 27 in Riyadh to face Oba Femi in the finals. Along with the crown, a world title opportunity at SummerSlam is on the line.
