Toronto, ON – The season is drawing near and JMF Motorsports will return to the GT World Challenge America series. Joining the PRO Class again will be a stellar pairing of Canadian AMG Factory Driver, and recent Bathurst 12 Hour Champion, Mikael Grenier, joined by longtime JMF Team Driver Michai Stephens.
“I am excited to announce our return to GT3,” said JMF Motorsports President John Farrow. “We had great success in 2025, and we are targeting the PRO championship win in 2026!”
The STAHLWILLE Tools sponsored No. 34 Mercedes-AMG took second in the 2025 PRO Championship, with an impressive four wins and a total of 11 podium finishes. Mik and Michai are planning on challenging for the top step of the PRO Class podium for 2026.
“We are excited for the 2026 season,” said CEO Danny Kok. “Mik and Michai will be strong contenders in the PRO Class, and we are looking forward getting back to racing and starting the season off at Sonoma!”
The 2026 SRO GT World Challenge America championship is seeing an evolution for 2026. Instead of the two 90-minute races on Saturday and Sunday, it will now become a single three-hour feature race on Sunday afternoons. The format of the season finale remains the same, however, with the Indianapolis 8 Hour race in conjunction with the Intercontinental GT Challenge series. All qualifying and races will stream live on the GTWorld YouTube channel and the GT World Challenge website.
JMF Announces 2nd Entry in GT World Challenge America
JMF Motorsports is proud to announce that they are joining the GT World Challenge America PRO-AM Class with the No. 27 Mercedes-AMG GT3, driven by Jason Daskalos and Lorcan Hanafin.
“JMF is pleased to welcome the No. 27 Mercedes-AMG to our awning,” said Kok. “Both Jason and Lorcan are very accomplished drivers, and we look forward to this powerful driver pairing!”

Jason Daskalos, from Albuquerque, NM, has been racing since 2007, where he got his start in the SPEED World Challenge Series in a Dodge Viper. He joined SRO in 2021 for the inaugural season of the single-driver GT America series. He saw great success and amassed numerous victories and podiums, finishing second in the championship in two straight years.
Daskalos moved to GT World Challenge America in 2025 and drove to multiple podium finishes in the PRO-AM class. For his second year in the series, he returns in the No. 27 Mercedes-AMG GT3, sponsored by Vintage 423 Steakhouse and Lounge.
“I am really excited for the upcoming GT World Challenge America season,” said Daskalos. “We are confident that we have the car, team and driver lineup to put us in a position to win, and we can’t wait to get started!”
For 2026, Jason will be joined by young gun Lorcan Hanafin, from Leeds, UK, who completes their PRO-AM Class driver pairing. Lorcan joins the GT World Challenge America series for the first time, after competing in GT endurance competition across Europe and Asia since 2023. Lorcan is looking forward to the new challenge for 2026.
“After racing extensively in Europe, I am excited to join the American series,” he said. “With our combined experience, we are expecting a great season!”
The SRO GT World Challenge America series consists of seven races at iconic tracks across the United States. The 2026 season starts with Sonoma Raceway on March 27-29.
