The Cincinnati Bengals have a long and sometimes dark history.
Carson Palmer, once seen as a savior who would deliver Bengals fans from the lost decade of the ‘90s, is now the Great Betrayer. Jerseys were burned in backyard fire pits, oaths of fealty were broken, and the entire franchise could have dissolved into chaos had it not been for the steady hands of Marvin Lewis, Andy Dalton, and AJ Green.

A franchise quarterback demanding a trade can be a team’s deathblow. Even mentioning the name “Palmer” today in Cincinnati draws—mostly—boos, hisses, and jeers.
That hasn’t stopped the new savior of the franchise from working out with Carson’s younger brother.
Joe Burrow is back at it with Jordan Palmer, according to social media posts, along with Michigan quarterback Bryce Underwood. Burrow and Palmer have worked together in the past, including in 2021, which also happened to be the season Burrow took the Bengals to the Super Bowl.
Of course, correlation doesn’t equal causation, but I’ll take anything to see them get back to February football.

Burrow is among the most elite quarterbacks in the NFL, but there is always going to be room for improvement. Every ounce of velocity and every bit of accuracy Burrow can get from working with Palmer is only going to help him take our team where we’ve always dreamed it could go.
It’s just ironic that it’s Carson’s brother.
