Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier’s rivalry is still alive and well, even years after their last UFC fight.
Jones recently shared a unique suggestion for how they can settle it once and for all.
Jones and Cormier have recently been coaching on a Russian reality TV show akin to The Ultimate Fighter. During their time on set in Thailand, they have shared plenty of memorable moments — some of them quite tense.
In one of their latest exchanges, they once again began to jaw back and forth with each other. That led to Jones offering Cormier “one minute” to settle the score.

“Everyone in this room knows who the man is,” Jones stated.
“It’s up for debate,” Cormier snapped back.
Jones then claimed the debate has been over for years, before making his offer to Cormier.
“I’ll give Daniel one minute if he wants one,” he said, standing up. “One minute.”
Cormier did not take Jones up on this challenge, claiming Jones doesn’t “have enough money” to pay him to fight. That’s not surprising, considering he’s been retired far longer than his rival — since 2020, to be exact.
Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier fought twice in the Octagon. Jones won their first encounter, in 2015, by unanimous decision. In their second meeting, in 2017, Jones won by TKO after stunning his rival with a head kick. However, that result was subsequently overturned when Jones failed a drug test. That failed drug test turned out to be a key detail in the pair’s rivalry. While Jones technically had better results, Cormier has often stated his adversary’s spotty drug-testing history calls those results into question.
