As the last handful of state championship finals get under way the next couple of weekends, the statistical portrait across America is rounding into place.
One thing we do know is the fact that Scarlett Gilner, a senior from Chapel Hill (N.C.), scored six goals in the NCHSAA Class 7A final to bring her career total to 532, which ties her for fifth all-time in a four-year varsity career:
| Total | Name | Years |
| 561 | Caroline Ling, Springboro (Ohio) | 2021-2024 |
| 545 | Fran Frieri, Lockport (ill.) | 2019-2022 |
| 540 | Sophia Turchetta, Harvard Bromfield (Mass.) | 2013-2016 |
| 532 | Sienna Chirieleison, Camp Hill Trinity (Pa.) | 2022-2025 |
| 532 | Scarlett Gilner, Chapel Hill (N.C.) | 2023-2026 |
All five of these players went onto Division I careers — Ling is currently at Rutgers, Frieri finished her final season at Notre Dame, Sophia Turchetta played at Notre Dame, Chirieleison is now at Johns Hopkins, and Gilner will be attending Elon University in the fall.
Gilner is heading to the institution as it is undergoing a time of transition. Elon and nearby Queens University are executing a merger, a process that will take two years to complete. By the summer of 2028, Queens will be an additional physical location of Elon College and will not be a separate degree-granting institution.
This could mean an athletics merger similar to what happened with Long Island University and C.W. Post a few years back. If so, it means everyone is going to have to fight to earn a place on the team.
Below in the red are our usual provisional gathering of American scholastic lacrosse statistics from available published sources, including MaxPreps, Berks Game Day, the KHSAA, The St. Louis Post-Dispatch, PhillyLacrosse, and Advance Media. If we can get more teams, state federations, and local leagues to adopt the easy-to-use MaxPreps.com platform, we can aim for as complete a statistical picture of the country as possible.
