Frontier Developments has had a positive financial period that saw the launch of Jurassic World Evolution 3 surpass that of the previous game, even as outside factors prevented the release of further content for the game.
The company released a trading update for FY26 in which it outlined a positive future after strong sales across its games went above previous guidance on revenue for the period.
But it made a particular note about the success of park management sim Jurassic World Evolution 3.
Frontier’s Profits (Dino) Soar
The Frontier-developed sequel was released back on October 21, 2025, and was generally well-received by critics, but in Frontier’s report, it notes that, ‘’ Cumulative sales revenue for Jurassic World Evolution 3 is ahead of Jurassic World Evolution 2 over an equivalent post‑launch period, including through the release of new content.’’
This is great news for the series, especially given that it uses the Jurassic World name for a less mainstream genre of video game. It even seems like Frontier believes numbers could have been higher had their content pipeline for the game not been blocked by outside factors.
’‘In the last month, delays beyond Frontier’s control have impacted the release of further content for the game. Frontier is working hard to resolve these matters and return to its planned content roadmap.’’
It’s hard to say if these delays would have hurt Jurassic World Evolution 3’s first six months of sales, but the game’s success means there should be a healthy player base to soak up the new content when it does arrive.
Jurassic World Evolution 3 is out now on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
