The 2026 edition of Backlash went down at the Benchmark International Arena in Tampa, Florida. The premium live event after WrestleMania is known to carry on with a lot of stories that they have left over after the show of shows, and this year was no different.
Kairi Sane is no longer with WWE, and her departure from the company was a shocking one. With Backlash coming up, a lot of fans were hoping to see her again. Sadly, that doesn’t seem to be the case.
A photo is making the rounds on social media, claiming that Kairi Sane was spotted in a Tampa airport. This photo was shared by a lot of fans, and it got them excited that she may be making a return to the company.
One post on X quickly received a community note. This warning for the validity of the post said, “This photo was posted in November 2025, not a new spotting at Tampa airport. Kairi Sane is currently in Japan after her WWE release.”
Kairi Sane may not be coming back to WWE tonight, but that doesn’t rule out the possibility at all. She is going to live her best life, but that won’t stop fans from holding a candle that she will make her comeback to WWE eventually.
Only time will tell if Kairi Sane will make a return to WWE. If she does come back, odds are nobody will see her at an airport because that would certainly spoil the moment.
