Historic Milestone Records and Home Ground Dominance

Kane Williamson has scored more than 50 per cent of his Test career runs in New Zealand.

In fact, Williamson is the only batter to aggregate 5000-plus runs in New Zealand.

He is also the only batter with 20-plus centuries and more than 40 fifty-plus scores in New Zealand in Tests.

Williamson has converted five of his centuries into double hundreds in New Zealand. This makes him one of the six batters to score five or more double centuries in a single country in Tests.

He has also brought up his highest Test individual score in New Zealand, scoring 251 from 412 balls against the West Indies in the 2020 Hamilton Test.

Williamson is the only batter to maintain an average above 60 in New Zealand in Tests (minimum 50 innings batted).

He scored 875 runs and four centuries in 14 innings in 2024, the most by a batter in a calendar year in New Zealand in Tests.

Individual Performance Records Across Away and Neutral Venues

Williamson has collected the third-most runs for New Zealand in the West Indies in Tests, with 462 runs to his name. He is also one of the six Kiwi batters to average above 50 in the Windies (minimum five innings batted).

The right-hander is one of the six New Zealand batters to score 500-plus Test runs in Australia. And Williamson is one of the three Kiwi batters to smash two Test centuries each in this country.

He has scored the most runs for New Zealand in a bilateral Test series in Australia, aggregating 428 runs in six innings on the 2015 tour.

Williamson made his Test debut in India, and in his very first outing, scored 131 from 299 balls against the hosts in the 2010 Ahmedabad Test. This is the only Test century he has so far managed to score in India.

He has also scored the third-most runs for New Zealand in India, with 503 runs in 15 outings to his name.

Williamson has recorded his highest individual score in an overseas Test in Pakistan, bringing up an unbeaten 200 off 395 balls in the 2022 Karachi Test. This is also the highest individual score by a Kiwi batter in Pakistan in Tests.

South Africa is the only country where Williamson hasn’t scored a Test century yet, with his highest score being 77, brought up in the 2016 Centurion Test.

He has scored the fifth-most Test runs for New Zealand in Sri Lanka, with 329 runs.

Williamson has aggregated the most Test runs for the Kiwis in the United Arab Emirates, having scored 647 at an average of 64.7 in 11 innings.

His average of 64.7 is only bettered by Brendon McCullum in the UAE (minimum five innings batted).

His two centuries are also the joint-most in the UAE, with his scores of 192 and 139 being the second and third highest for New Zealand in this country.
