Karen Chukhadzhian vs Paddy Donovan – Big Fight Preview & Predictions

Karen Chukhadzhian and Paddy Donovan meet in a crunch IBF welterweight title final eliminator on Friday in Mannheim, Germany.

Chukhadzhian clashes with Donovan at the SAP-Arena, live on DAZN.

Chukhadzhian (26-3, 14 KOs) has been beaten three times in his career and notably twice to Jaron Ennis.

The Ukrainian gave Ennis a tough test, falling short by unanimous decision in their rematch for the IBF welterweight crown in 2024.

The 30-year-old has bounced back with two straight victories, picking up the WBO and IBF International belts along the way.

Donovan (14-2, 11 KOs) is also looking to launch another bid at the IBF crown after losing to Lewis Crocker in September.

‘The Real Deal’ was controversially disqualified in their first bout for dropping his Irish rival after the bell, before losing a unanimous decision in their immediate rematch.

The 27-year-old looks to get back to winning ways and line himself up for a trilogy with Crocker, who defends his title against Liam Paro on June 24 in Australia.

Prediction: Chukhadzhian has proved himself a tricky operator for the elite, but Donovan’s skillset should see him prevail by decision.

Odiase battles Webb

Rising German heavyweight, Emanuel Odiase faces veteran Brit, Nick Webb for the IBF European title.

Odiase (10-0, 8 KOs) is undefeated in 10 professional bouts, stopping eight of his opponents.

Webb (19-3, 15 KOs) has fought just twice in almost five years, winning two of the spin since a first round stoppage defeat to Fabio Wardley.

Prediction: Odiase should stop Webb.

Kadiru meets Gashi

In another heavyweight showdown, home favourite, Peter Kadiru looks to continue his rise when he faces Senad Gashi.

Kadiru (22-1, 13 KOs) has won his last eight bouts since a sole professional defeat, while Gashi (34-4, 32 KOs) has only lost in good company to the likes of Derek Chisora, Carlos Takam and Kevin Lerena.

Prediction: Gashi is durable, but Kadiru should take a decision victory.

Remaining Undercard

In a battle of unbeaten lightweights, Devrim Goekduman (13-0, 8 KOs) should retain his IBF European crown with a points win over Franklyn Dwomoh (9-0, 2 KOs).

The German cruiserweight title should go the way of Alexander Okafor (3-0, 2 KOs) in his battle with fellow undefeated German Elija Uelkuseven (8-0, 6 KOs).

Heavyweight Viktor Jurk (13-0, 11 KOs) can halt Edwin Castillo (13-2, 11 KOs) and Nelvie Tiafack (3-0, 3 KOs) can do the same against Mateus Munhoz Da Penha (7-2-2, 3 KOs), also at heavyweight.

Middleweight Oluwole Jan Ciosek (4-0, 2 KOs) can take a points win over Shae Green (9-1-1, 2 KOs) and debutant Edmon Avagyan (0-0) should overcome Patrik Fiala (13-7-2, 8 KOs) on points.
