Teenager Kartik Singh fired a third 1 under par 71 to finish in a share of 12th place at the AM Green IGPL Morocco Rising Stars 2026, an Asian Development Tour tournament held last week.

Thailand’s Tanapat Pichaikool emerged winner by two shots over Bangladesh veteran Sidddikur Rahman at the Mazagan Beach and Golf Resort in Al Jadia on Sunday.

Tanapat, 26, who led by two shots going into the final round after a magnificent 8 under 64 round in the third round battled to a 2 under 70 to maintain his edge over the former Indian Open winner.

Kartik was the top Indian in a field that included Siddikur, the evergreen Berry Henson and others, leading a parade of Indians with cards of 71, 66, 71 and 71 despite a late double bogey and a bogey on the back nine.

Kartik totalled 9 under 279 for the event behind Tanapat (70-67-64-70) who finished on 17 under 217 while Siddikur (69-70-67-67) aggregated 15 under 273 for the $160,000 event.

The teenager had three birdies in his first 10 holes, at which point he was in line for a top 5 finish but double bogey on the par-3 13th and bogey on the par-4 16th dented his hopes, though he did close with a birdie.

“I’m happy with my performance this week,” Kartik, who missed the cut at the 2026 Indian Open in March by one shot, said.

“The course was playing tough with strong winds and tricky greens, so I’m happy to have shot under par in all 4 rounds, especially my second round, 6 under, which put me in the top 5 heading into the weekend.

“I would have liked to have had a better last two rounds and be contending for the trophy. But I’m still happy with the 12th place finish in a strong field with many Asian tour players.

Nice bonus

“And being the top Indian was a nice bonus in a strong contingent at this tournament with all of the IGPL players plus few of our players of the Asian tour.

“So I’m happy that I was able to come on top out of all the Indians and I’m hoping that next time I’ll be able to come on top overall.”

The two next best Indians were Trishul Chinnappa (69-61-72-71) and Kartik Sharma (74-69-75-65), who had a roller-coaster of a week, at tied 28th on 5 under 273.

Raghav Chugh (69-70-72-74) had a rough final day with three bogeys against just one birdie and dropped into a share of 35th place. Syed Saqib Ahmed (76), who after rounds of 69-70-70 faltered on the final day and slipped to T35 alongside Chugh.

Rashid Khan (71) was T40, Milind Soni (72) was T42, Arjun. Bhati (76) and Sachin Baisoya (74) were T46, and Samarth Dwivedi (77) T49.

Tanapat and Rahman earned spots in this week’s $500,000 AM Green Bharat Classic, an Asian Tour event at the same venue that will also see Gaganjeet Bhullar, S.S.P. Chawrasia, Shaurya Bhattacharya and several IGPL players in action.

The Asian Tour tournament will be followed by the $2 million International Series Morocco at the Royal Golf Dar Es Salam that will see the likes of Anirban Lahiri, Sergio Garcia, Bubba Watson and other LIV Golf stars in action.
