DES MOINES (USA, Apr 20): Indoor pole vault returned to the Des Moines metro on Monday night after a 2-year hiatus. Defending champion KC Lightfoot won the men’s competition with 591 first attempt clearances at the Jordan Creek Town Center. Second Zach Bradford 583, and third Chris Nilsen 565.

World Indoor champion Sandi Morris, in her first competition of the year, cleared 475 on her first attempt and beat Olympic winner Katie Moon, who also cleared 475 in her third attempt.
