Kendall Gray isn’t playing the waiting game when it comes to her future in WWE NXT. She already knows exactly what she wants, and she made it clear that her focus isn’t on short-term moments — it’s on championship gold.
During her appearance on Going Ringside, Gray was asked what’s next for her now that WrestleMania season has passed and attention has shifted fully back to NXT. While some rising stars might talk about taking things step by step, Gray explained that her mindset is centered around staying locked in on a single long-term target.
She explained that her mentality right now is built around staying focused and refusing to slow down until she reaches the top of the division.
“You know, honestly, I’m ready for anything coming my way in the future, but I still, you know, for me, I’m so laser focused on my goal, and I don’t want to stop until I reach it.”
That mindset led directly into the goal she says is driving her forward inside WWE’s developmental system. Gray made it clear that her sights are firmly set on the biggest prize available in the NXT women’s division.
“So, I’m still going to go and chase after the NXT Women’s Championship.”
Gray’s comments come at a time when the NXT women’s division continues to shift, with new challengers emerging and fresh opportunities opening up for rising talent. With roster movement constantly creating new openings, setting a clear championship goal now could position her as one of the names to watch as the division evolves.
The path to the NXT Women’s Championship isn’t an easy one, but Gray’s confidence and focus suggest she’s not looking for shortcuts. Instead, she appears committed to steady growth and staying ready whenever her moment arrives.
