Kevin Nash Blames Wrestling Media for Twisting His Comments Into Negative Clickbait

Kevin Nash is calling out wrestling podcasts and clip channels that he feels twist his comments into negative headlines just to get clicks.

While speaking on the Kliq This podcast, Nash said he recently looked through clips from different podcasts and noticed how often they lean into negative framing, especially when using his name in titles claiming he hates other wrestlers.

“I do notice one thing—because I went through today and looked at clips from different podcasts—you can pretty much tell what the podcast is about, or what the person is about, by the percentage of negative clips they have. ‘Kevin Nash hates these 10 wrestlers,’ you know? So it’s one of those things where you can just tell.”

Nash then pointed to an example where someone allegedly planned to make a positive piece about Trish Stratus, only to change the angle after realizing the positive version would not get enough traffic.

“And if that’s the case—and I believe somebody even said this, I can’t remember who—but they said they were going to do a nice piece on Trish Stratus, but it didn’t get any hits, so they changed it into a hit piece to get the clicks.”

For Nash, that example tied back to his larger point about online wrestling content. He argued that negative framing often gets rewarded because people are more likely to click on drama than positivity: “Which I think was my whole point last week, wasn’t it? But again—positivity doesn’t sell in this world.”

Nash has never been shy about giving his opinion, but his latest comments show he is frustrated with how podcast clips and wrestling media headlines can turn discussion into manufactured drama. In his view, the issue is not just criticism itself, but the way negativity gets packaged because it performs better online.
