Keyshawn Davis vs Nahir Albright 2 – Big Fight Preview & Predictions

Keyshawn Davis returns to the ring in a homecoming rematch against Nahir Albright in Norfolk on Saturday.

Davis faces Albright at the Scope Arena and the clash marks Top Rank’s first card on DAZN.

Davis (14-0, 10 KOs) won the first fight between the pair, but later tested positive for marijuana with the bout overturned to a no contest.

‘The Businessman’ was making waves after claiming the WBO lightweight title, but his progress was curtailed after missing weight in a scheduled first defence against Edwin De Los Santos.

The 27-year-old lost his belt on the scales and his bout with De Los Santos was shelved.

The home favourite returned after an almost year lay-off with a final round stoppage over Jamaine Ortiz in his super lightweight debut in January.

Albright (17-2-1, 7 KOs) is 1-1 since his first outing with Davis, securing an upset win over Keyshawn’s older brother, Kelvin before being held to a draw with Frank Martin in February.

The 30-year-old was involved in an apparent altercation with Davis after his victory over his brother last June.

Prediction: Davis looked impressive against Ortiz and will be motivated to put the demons of the first bout behind him. I expect Davis to become the first man to stop Albright.

Norman Jr returns after Haney loss

Former welterweight world champion, Brian Norman Jr looks to get back to winning ways when he faces Josh Wagner.

Norman Jr (28-1, 22 KOs) dropped his WBO belt in a comprehensive unanimous decision loss to Devin Haney in November and has since changed his training set-up joining world-renowned coach, Ronnie Shields.

Canada’s Wagner (19-2, 10 KOs) lost every round against Harlem Eubank in his last outing in November.

Prediction: Norman Jr can get back in the win column with a stoppage victory.

Davis faces Dobson

Kelvin Davis looks to bounce back from his first professional defeat to the aforementioned Albright when he faces Peter Dobson in a welterweight showdown.

Davis (15-1, 8 KOs) suffered a majority decision loss to Albright, while Dobson (17-3, 10 KOs) ended a run of three straight defeats, including to Conor Benn, with a first round knockout of Jorge Humberto Rodriguez Regaldo.

Prediction: Davis should squeeze out a decision win.

Remaining Undercard

Unbeaten featherweight, Yan Santana (16-0, 13 KOs) can edge closer to a maiden world title shot by capturing the WBO NABO crown with a points win over Cristian Cruz Chacon (24-7-2, 12 KOs)

Keon Davis (4-0, 3 KOs), younger brother of Keyshawn and Kelvin, can extend his undefeated streak with a decision victory over Edwine Humaine Junior (9-2, 7 KOs) at super welterweight.

Dedrick Crocklem (6-0, 3 KOs) may also need the distance to see off Eric Howard (7-4, 2 KOs) at super featherweight.
